Virgie Claire (Lambert) Bailey

Virgie Claire Lambert Bailey, 93 of Narrows, Va., passed away Thursday May 23, 2019 at the home of her daughter.  Mrs. Bailey was born on May 8, 1927 in Bland County and was a daughter of the late Jim Lambert and Linnie Bivens Lambert of Bland County.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer V. Bailey, two sons, J.E. and Tony Bailey, an infant brother and her son-in-law, Steve Black Sr.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Black, her grandchildren, Mandee of the home, Steven (Kristi) Black, Jr., great grandchildren, Lilly & Jillian Black all of Winchester, sister Betty Blankenship (Cloyd), and nephew Ronnie Blankenship all of Bastian.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Riffe – Givens Funeral Chapel in Narrows with pastor Don Scott officiating with burial following at the Dodson Clark Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 – 2:00pm before the service.  The family is being served by Riffe - Givens Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
