Thomas Arthur Akers

Thomas Arthur Akers, 52, of Pembroke, VA, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2024, in Pearisburg, VA and was a son of the late Larry Arthur Akers and Elizabeth Mariah Shrader Akers.   

Thomas took after his father, being quite the character.  He loved music of any type and listened to it morning, noon and night. He was a diehard WV Mountaineers and VA Tech Hokie fan.  He loved his sister, brother-in-law Jerry, all of his nieces and nephews and all of his neighbors on Caboose Ln. 

He is survived by his sister, Laura E. Lilly (Jerry) of Pembroke, 5 nieces & nephews, Zachary C. Richardson (Hannah) of Pearisburg, Mollie Richardson of Pembroke, Kellie M. Haynes (Beau) of Guam, Heather D. Lilly of Galax, Katelyn R. Lilly of Pembroke and 12 great nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service, from 1 – 2pm.
