Tammy Doreen (Williams) Burke

Tammy Doreen Williams Burke, 49, of Narrows, VA, formerly of Louisiana, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023.  Tammy was born on December 3, 1973, in Bennettsville, SC and was a daughter of the late Terry Gilbert Williams, I and Dorothy “Dot” Hilton Williams.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Gilbert Williams, II.

She was born and raised in S.C.  She received her B.S. at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. and received 2 Master’s Degrees, one in Psychology and another in Sociology.  She worked at several hospitals before becoming the Hospital Administrator at Northside Behavioral Health in Ahoskie, NC.  Her whole life was dedicated to her daughter, dogs, God and helping others.  She was an avid fisher and enjoying the outdoors with her husband.  One of her favorite pastimes was hanging out with her beloved cat, Juice.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Matthew R. Burke of Narrows, her daughter, Grace Elizabeth Burke of Radford and her fur babies, Ginger, Ruty, Autumn and Juice.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
