Steven Black Obituary

Steven Parker Black, Sr. of Narrows, VA passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home. Mr. Black was born on November 29, 1949 in Tuscumbia, AL and was a son of the late Alvin Parker Black and Jane Lewey Black. Steve was a retired engineer with Windstream, Inc.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Deborah Lynne Bailey Black of Narrows, one son, Steven P Black, Jr. (Kristi) of Winchester, one daughter, Mandee Black of the home, two granddaughters, Lilly and Jillian Black of Winchester, his mother-in-law, Virgie Bailey, two sisters, JoAnn Fry (Jimmy), Jane Hovater (Charles) both of Tuscumbia, AL, many nieces, nephews and cousins all of Alabama and his furry pal Dolly.

In keeping with Steve’s wishes, a graveside service will take place Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 am at the Dodson – Clark Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community near Narrows with Pastor Don Scott officiating.
