Shirley Avis (Meadows) McDaniel

Shirley Avis Meadows McDaniel, 88, of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg.  Mrs. McDaniel was born on May 4, 1933, in Narrows and was a daughter of the late Earl Franklin Meadows, Sr. and Mamie Chandler Meadows.  Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Narrows.  She loved to go to the Giles Senior Center and work puzzles.  She is survived by her husband, Leonard A. McDaniel of Narrows, one son, Lee David McDaniel (Donna) of Richmond and one daughter, Laura McDaniel of Hopkinsville, KY.  According to Shirley’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no services will be held.  The family is being served by Givens – Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
