Sherrie Lynn Atwell, 55 of Narrows was reunited with her mother and father on Friday, November 29th, 2013.
A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on November 11th 1958, and was the daughter of the late Jerry Scott Atwell and Barbara Jean Sigmon Atwell. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mawyer and Lillie Sigmon; and her paternal grandmother, Mildred Wilkinson Atwell.
Sherrie was a former employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with 25 years of service. Full of life, yet down to earth, Sherrie had a huge heart and loved her family and many friends.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, Jordan Scott Atwell of Narrows; a sister, Misty Atwell Blankenship of Narrows; two very special nephews, Darryl Blankenship and wife Chenaye, and Jacob Blankenship, all of Narrows; a very special niece, Kristen Brooke Blankenship of Pembroke; many special family members and friends.
At her request, Sherrie was cremated. A celebration of Sherrie's life will be held Friday, December 6th, 2013 at 5 PM at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with Rev. Chris Stansell officiating. The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church Friday from 4 PM until just prior to the service. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Riffe's Funeral Service, Inc.; 600 Main Street; Narrows, Virginia 24124.
