On January 25, 2020, Roger Frank Micklewright of Narrows, VA, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 70. Mr. Micklewright was born on June 23, 1949 in Ontario, Canada and was a son of the late George Micklewright and Lydia Sharpe Micklewright. Besides is parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Audrey Ann Amo Micklewright. Roger was an electrician supervisor, who worked in many different states, to provide everything he could for his family. He enjoyed the travel and he enjoyed his work. One of the many things he found joy in was his dry humor. His love for being straight forward and blunt, keeping people wondering, was what he thrived on. Roger is survived by two children, Jason Scott Micklewright and Shana Nikole Micklewright. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Abigail, Nicholas, Noah, Jacob, Hunter, Colt, Gabriel and one great granddaughter, Salem. Roger will not have a memorial service, and instead of cards or flowers, the family is asking to please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
