Richard C. Masters Obituary
Richard C. Masters, 78 of Narrows passed away Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Lovern, West Virginia on October 10th, 1935, and was the son of the late William Marion and Hilda Clemons Masters. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deirdre Denise Masters; two brothers, Stanley Dean Masters and Jessie Masters; and a sister, Virginia Wickline.
Richard was an avid fisherman and hunter. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Parcell (Libby) Masters; one son, Richard B. (Rickie) Masters of Narrows; two daughters, Teresa Lucas and Sherri Masters, both of Narrows; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Coburn of Peterstown.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21st, 2014 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
