Mary Kathern Hale

Mary Kathern Hale, 49 of Narrows passed away Friday, October 12th, 2018.

She was born in Pearisburg on January 19th, 1969 and was a daughter of Robert Kinner Hale and Lucinda Lee Brown Hale of Narrows.  She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and friend, Kelly Hale Rice.

A 1987 graduate of Narrows High School where she loved to play basketball and volleyball, Mary was employed at Hubbell Lighting in Christiansburg for 17 years.  She loved playing golf with her friends at Castle Rock and Giles Country Club, and playing softball at King Johnson Field in Pearisburg.  She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Narrows.  A friend recently said that Mary knew everybody and could always make them laugh.

In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her dear younger sister, Nora Lee Hale of Narrows.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe-Givens Funeral Service in Narrows.  The family is being served by Riffe-Givens Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442 and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
