Mary E.Clark, 92 of Narrows went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 22nd, 2013.
She was born in Fort Blackmore, Virginia on October 23rd, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Horton H. Brickey and Annie L. Osborne. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Swanston J. Clark; and a brother, Bill Brickey.
Mary enjoyed flower gardening, and her feline companion, Tom. She had a very big heart, and would do anything for anybody. She worked hard and made many sacrifices for her family and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many special friends.
Left to cherish her memory are four children; Gary S Clark of Narrows, Nancy Crittenden and husband Michael of Louisville, KY, Mike Clark and Virginia Carroll of Blacksburg, John Clark and wife Betty of Narrows; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two brother, John H. Brickey of Fort Blackmore, VA and Bob Fugate of Orleans, Indiana; three nephews, several cousins, and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24th, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Ed Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Chapel Saturday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
