Mary Catherine Hager Bowles, 87 of Narrows, VA passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019.  Mrs. Bowles was born in Bland Co., VA on April 24, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Lake Hager and Elsie Mae Burton Hager.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Aubrey Eugene Bowles, one daughter, Judith B. White, one grandson, Jeffery Allen White, four sisters and one brother.  Mrs. Bowles was an active member of Kathleen Memorial United Methodist Church in Wolf Creek, she was a retired employee of Kroger and she loved her family and her church.  She will be missed by all of her family and friends.  She is survived by, three daughters, Teresa B. South (Brian) of Porterville, CA, Susan B. Wolfe (Tim) of Christiansburg, Patricia B. Graybill (Fred) of Roanoke, one son-in-law, Ernest E. White of Rich Creek, one brother, Edison Hager of Rich Creek, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11am at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Jake Huffman officiating with burial following in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm.  The family is being served by Givens – Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, VA
