Martha Jane Blaker, 66 of Narrows entered eternal rest on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rich Creek.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on May 20, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Creigh Theron and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Blaker. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Nora Smith, and paternal grandparents, Andrew and Lelia Blaker; a special aunt, Ora Smith, who was her caregiver for 36 years; and several aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish her memory are a brother, James Andrew Blaker (Gail) of Little Washington, Virginia; a sister, Belle Tyson (Bob) of Richmond, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including a special cousin, Betty Pillow of Narrows.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Tony Reed, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
