Maggie Louise (Perkins) Martin

Maggie Louise Perkins Martin, 89 of Narrows departed this life Wednesday, July 11th, 2018 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on May 14th, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Earnest and Hattie Perkins.  In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Edward Martin; a sister, Lucille Martin; and a brother, Wilson Perkins.

She was a retired employee of Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek, where she worked as an assistant in the kitchen.  Maggie loved flowers and her cat. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. 

Left to cherish her memory are a son, James Edward (Eddie) Martin and wife Marlene of Narrows; a daughter, Sandy Harris and husband Larry of Narrows; and a special granddaughter, Canace Paige Martin; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at 1 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with Pastor Ricky Green officiating.  The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
