Lynette (Lester) Lawson

Lynette Lester Lawson, 59 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  Lynette was born on October 27, 1960 in Danville, VA and was a daughter of the late Marvin Lidrew Lester, Jr. and Anna LaVerne Surratt Lester.  Lynette was a 1979 graduate of Narrows High School. She was a current employee of Moog in Blacksburg and a member of the First Baptist Church in Narrows.  She was an avid NASCAR Fan, loved to read and enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.  She is survived by her husband, Michael Edward Lawson of Salem, two sisters, Alesia L. Collins and husband Larry of Narrows, Regena L. Soon and husband Andy of Charlotte, NC, two brothers, Blake Lester and wife Joy of Pearisburg, Cliff Lester and Karen of Ladson, SC and nine nephews, Ryan and Aaron Collins, Christopher Quesenberry, Kekona, Elijah, Nathan and Micah Soon, Benjamin Wilson, Wayne Sutphin and seven nieces, Courtney, Hannah and Hazel Lester, Nalani Soon, ReAnn Wilson, Laura and Sarah Slusher and many cousins.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 3pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel one hour before the service from 2 – 3pm.  The family is being served by Givens-Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
