Lula Mae Fleeman

Lula Mae Blankenship Fleeman, 88 of Narrows, VA. went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2022, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VA.  Lula was born on February 12, 1933, in Narrows and was a daughter of the late James Rufus Blankenship and Tishue Mae Mullins Blankenship.  Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Milton David Fleeman, three sons, David Fleeman, Donald Fleeman, Jerry Fleeman and seven brothers and four sisters.  Lula was a lifelong resident of Narrows and was a retired employee from Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek.  She was a member of Mountain View Ministries in Narrows.  Lula loved the company of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved going to her church.  She is survived by, one daughter, Nena Mae Kast (Charles) of Narrows, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, January 21, 2022, at 12:00pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Jim Hagy officiating with burial following in Angels Rest Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel one hour before the service from 11-12pm.  The family is being served by Givens - Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, VA, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
