Lorraine Hopson Hughes, 92 of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at Heritage Hall Rich Creek.
She was born in Paw Paw, Pike County, Kentucky on February 4th, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ross Hughes. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Hughes and George Hughes; a son-in-law, David Fleeman; and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, Charles Hughes and wife Linda of Narrows; a daughter, Rita Hughes Fleeman, also of Narrows; seven grandchildren, Bryan Hughes, Shelley Hughes, Chris Hughes and wife Charity, Keith Fleeman and wife Angel, Kristie Williams and husband Rick, Audrea Journell and husband Chad, Michael Hughes and wife Violet, and Ryan Hughes; twelve great-grandchildren, Jordon Hughes, Lauryn and Leah Hughes, Josh, Jacob and Zachery Fleeman, Makena and Jase Williams, Kinsey, Chase, and Jaelynn Journell, and Kendra Hughes; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hughes of Narrows.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor David Atkinson officiating. A private burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Chapel Sunday from 1 PM until just prior to the service. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider either the Salvation Army or Disabled American Veterans.
