Jennifer Warren Gilkeson, age 75, of Narrows passed away peacefully on Tuesday (August 28, 2018) at Duke University Medical Center. 

She was born on January 22, 1943 to the late James and Grace Warren of Narrows.  After attending Sullins College, she experienced the world as an Air Force spouse, and then returned home to Narrows to raise her family.  She was a devoted daughter and mother and loved to play bridge with her dear friends. 

She leaves behind her sons, Thomas C. Gilkeson, Jr. (Christin), and James W. Gilkeson (Lisa), her sister, Linda Rossi (Tony), her nephew, James Boothe (Kathy), and her nieces, Jennie Giglio (late husband Bill), and Suzie Allen (Terry), and her grandchildren, Connor, Rachele, Olivia, Lauren, Heather, and James.

There will be a memorial service at Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg on September 8th at 2pm the Rev Doug Armstrong officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Abby one hour before the service.  Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Narrows.  The family is being served by Riffe-Givens Funeral Service in Narrows, VA.
