Herman Saybird Greever, Jr. of Pearisburg, VA., went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Herman was born on March 3, 1947, in Pearisburg and was a son of the late Herman Saybird Greever, Sr. and Mary Lois Lane Greever. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Greever.  Junior was a retired employee at VA Tech and a member of the New Testament Church of Christ in Pearisburg.  He is survived by numerous cousins and many wonderful friends and neighbors.  Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 1pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA with Minister Rick Mathena officiating with burial following in Angels Rest Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service from 12 – 1pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The family is being served by Givens – Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
