Helen Fleeman Blankenship, 86, formerly of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8th, 2013 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hinton.

She was born on August 5th, 1927 and was the daughter of the late David and Cindy Robertson Fleeman. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer (Buster) Blankenship; a daughter, Gaynell Montgomery; and a son, Franklin Blankenship.

A retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows, Helen was a devout Christian. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, along with shopping with friends and family. But most importantly, Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, who loved her family dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Juanita Shrader and husband Gary; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandhildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11th, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Chapel Monday from 12 PM until just prior to the service.
