Ellen Betty Bowles Obituary

Ellen Betty Bowles, 85 of Pearisburg, passed away Friday, February 28th, 2014 at Radford Health and Rehab.

She was born in Ripplemead, on February 3rd, 1929, and was the daughter of the late James Marshall and Pearl Florence Epling Bowles of Narrows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother L. Billy Bowles and six other brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Mary J. Bowles-Williamson of Swansboro, North Carolina; her long-time Guardian, Donald K. Bowles; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving foster family, Tessa and Kennie Spencer of Pearisburg, their children and respective extended families.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at 11 AM at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Riverview Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 5th from 6 to 8 PM.
