Diana Harry Akers Obituary

Diana Harry Akers, 43 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15th, 2013 with her family by her side.

She was born in Pearisburg on March 16th, 1970, and was the daughter of Larry Wayne Harry and Reta Blankenship Kellison. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Pete and Annie Harry of Waiteville, West Virginia, and maternal grandparents, Zelma and Kermit Blankenship of Narrows.

Diana was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, touching many hearts with her wonderful smile.

She is survived by her parents, Reta Kellison, and Larry and Linda Harry, all of Narrows; a daughter, Casey Laws; a son, Andrew Harry; three grandchildren, Caden Laws, Dawson Dunford, and Raleigh Dunford; three sisters, Angela Frazier, Tammy Davis, and Chelle Mosley; two brothers, Chris Harry and Ryan Darr; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

At Diana's request, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20th, 2013 at 4 PM at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with Rev. Ward Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church Friday from 3 PM until just prior to the service. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider either Riverview Baptist Church or Jefferson Christian Academy, 219 Big Stony Creek Road; Ripplemead, VA 24150.
