Delta Dawn Lucas, 38 of Pearisburg was called home to be with her Heavenly father on Monday morning, December 9th, 2013.
She was born in Pearisburg on July 15th, 1975, and was the daughter of the late Mack Aurther and Myra Beatrice Cooper Lucas. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Howell; and a nephew, Michael W. Lucas.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, Cody Lucas; three brothers, Tony and Lucas and wife Beth, and Marvin Lucas, all of Peterstown, and Billy Lucas and wife Shelia of Salisbury, North Carolina; three sisters, Linda Lucas, Patty Daughterty and Donna Keffer, all of Pearisburg; an aunt, Martha Lucas of Narrows; two uncles, Jimmy Cooper of Narrows and Danny Lucas of Farmville, Virginia; also a very special companion, David Peoples of Pearisburg. She loved all of them so much.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13th, 2013 at 2 PM at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with Pastor John Jenkins officiating, in conjunction with the funeral service for Delta's mother, Myra Beatrice Lucas. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church Friday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
