Curley Ray Agee, Sr.

Curley Ray Agee, Sr., 73, of Narrows, VA joined his wife in their heavenly home on October 1st, 2021, from Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, VA.  Curley was born on March 11th, 1948, to the late Ray Otis and Margaret Eliza Virginia Agee in Bluefield West Virginia.  Curley is survived by one son, Curley Ray Agee Jr. (C.J.), and his wife Ivy Agee of Narrows VA.; grandson Tyler Andrew Agee; great grandson Cooper Agee; grandson Jacob Ely Agee. Daughter Rosa Lee Morgan and husband Timothy Ray Morgan, Sr. of Narrows, VA.; grandson Timothy Ray Morgan, Jr. and wife Serena Marie Morgan of Christiansburg, VA.; two great granddaughters Alison Rayne Morgan and Annabelle Marie Morgan; grandson John Otis Morgan and wife Tiffany Cheyanne Morgan of Pearisburg, VA.; great granddaughter Cheyanne Marie Morgan. Daughter Annadawn Houston-Lunn and husband Dale Lunn of Marshall, VA.; grandsons Cody Ray Ramsey and Dominick Lee Peters; granddaughter Barbara Marie Ramsey; great grandsons Shawn Thomas Negron and Julian Dante Negron; granddaughter Carrie Jo Roberts; great granddaughter Brianna Nicole Runyon. Sister Linda Lee Peters and husband William Wayne Peters of Hague, VA. Sister Elizabeth Ann Agee of Peterstown, WV. Sister Patricia Marie Agee of North Tazewell, VA. and several nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Charles Earnest Jones and wife Ruby Webb of Bristol, VA., and sister-in-law Mary Ruth Peaden of DeLand, Fla. and several nieces and nephews.  Curley was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorraine Renae Agee, his parents Ray Otis and Margaret Eliza Virginia Agee and his little brother Otis Eugene Agee, as well as his father-in-law Earnest Jones and mother-in-law Omie Jones.  Curley was one of the few, the proud, The United States Marines and for him that was not just a title or a job but a way of life, which he lived proud and steadfast until the very end. Whenever he would meet a fellow Marine, it was always with a loud and proud: “SEMPER FI BROTHER!!”  A lot of words come to mind when trying to describe Curley Agee, but the ones that ring the truest are: Loyal, Honorable, Honest, Caring, Brave, Trustworthy, and Strong….” The list is never ending but the one thing we are certain everyone will agree on is our father Curley Agee was everyone’s friend and would never turn anyone away, he would give all he had to help another person be them friend or foe; family or stranger; if you were in need our dad found a way to help.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 6th, 2021, 6 pm at Givens-Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows Virginia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service from 5 - 6 pm
