Carl Johnson Hare, Jr., 69 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2024, at his home in Narrows.  Carl was born on June 19, 1955, in Pearisburg, VA. and was a son of the late Carl Johnson Hare, Sr. and Maxine Jewell Hare.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hare, 2 sisters, Bonnie Spurling, Barbara Scott, brother, Charles Hare and a great grandson, Johnny Blu.

Carl was a lifelong resident of Virginia and was a Bricklayer by trade.  In his younger days he loved to hunt and fish and in his later years he loved working on and improving his home which was his pride and joy.  He always had a joke to tell and was full of personality. 

He is survived by his daughter, Carla O’Conner of Port St. Lucie, FL, 4 grandchildren, Savannah, Kenny, Morgan, Ian, 3 brothers, Bill Hare (Leslie) of Charlotte, NC, Danny Hare (Dorles) of Gastonia, NC, David Hare (Nuria) of Gastonia, NC, 4 sisters, Ruthie H. Connell (Larry) of Newark, OH, Dee Dee Hare, Brenda Hare and Becky Hare and his best friend, Bait. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
