Burl "Buck" Edward Steele

Burl “Buck” Edward Steele, 41, of Ballard, WV, passed away January 18, 2020, after a long battle with diabetic complications.  Buck was born on March 14, 1979 and was a son Marsha and Gary Farley of Bozoo, WV.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Dave and Pauline Ball, maternal grandparents, Burl and Rosie Mills, one uncle, Rex Ball, and half-sister, Josanna Ball.  Buck was a 96 graduate of Narrows High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the USS Whidbey Island. He loved the outdoors and talking to people.  Besides his parents, he is survived by, his sisters Jackie Mosley (Bill) of Ripplemead, Amanda Black (Cedric) of Christiansburg, five nieces, Kelsey and Kenzie Mosley, Caitlyn Steele, Brooke, Victoria Jennelle and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Givens-Riffe Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm with Pastor Terry Kornegay officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
