Billy Junior Stables, 87 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg.  Billy was born on July 12, 1931 in Arista, WV and was a son of the late Amos Berrell Stables and Edith Lee Thompson Stables.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Gloria Lee Robertson Stables, one sister and four brothers.  Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, owned and operated Stables Garage in Narrows over 40 years, he attended the United We Stand Ministries Church in Rich Creek, VA.  Those left to cherish his memories are one son and his wife, Timmy and Linda Stables of Narrows; two daughters, Teresa Giles and husband Craig of Pearisburg, and Spring McMillion and husband Russell of Moneta; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren that he loved so deeply.  Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Ricky Green officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
