Billy Gene Harry

Billy Gene Harry, 88, of Pembroke, VA formerly of Narrows, quietly departed his earthy life the evening of Dec 4, 2019 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.  He was surrounded by his three children when his spirit left this earth.  Born in Oak Vale, WV in July 1931, he was raised in a railroad family as the middle of 14 children, 12 of whom lived to adulthood.  He was preceded in death his father Peter Herman “Pete” Harry, mother Annie Davis Harry, and siblings Herman Harry, Otis Harry, Gladys Givens, Opal Lawson, Blanche Gautier, Arnold Harry, and Lacy Harry.  He is survived by siblings Willard Harry, Betty Bostic, Shirley Miller, and Larry Harry and wife Linda, and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his children Ruth Ann Lytton and husband Derek D. Klock of Radford, Tony B. Harry and wife Terry of Peterstown WV, and Heather Harry and two grandchildren Garett Stephens and Grace Stephens of Pembroke.  Additionally, he is remembered fondly by a very loving friend and caretaker Kim Thompson.  Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday evening, December 7, 2019 from 6 - 8 at Givens-Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA to honor Billy’s life.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2pm with the Rev Gary Poff officiating with internment at 4pm at the Waiteville Cemetery, Waiteville, WV.
