Betty Day Cooper, 91 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, Va.  Mrs. Cooper was born on September 14, 1927 in Giles County and was a daughter of the late Eric Monroe Day and Mary Rebecca Coburn Day.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Byrum Cooper, two brothers, Perry Day, Sr. and Tom Day and one sister, Peggy D. Meadows.  Mrs. Cooper was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Narrows, a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows.  She is survived by two sons, George B. Cooper (Patricia) of High Point, NC, Eric E. Cooper (Laura) of Portsmouth, two daughters, Sherri C. Baumgardner (Stephen) of Narrows, Cindy C. McCroskey (Dornie) of Narrows, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1pm at the Riffe-Givens Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev.
