Barbara Ann (Lucas) Blankenship

Barbara Ann Lucas Blankenship, 80 of Narrows, VA got her wings and went to walk with the angels.  Barbara was born on May 7, 1940 in Narrows and was a daughter of the late Guy Edward Lucas and Gladys Winnie Lucas.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Marvin Lee Blankenship, one daughter, Christy Lynn Blankenship, six brothers, Billy, M.C., Mac, Marshall, Paul and Johnny Lucas and two sisters, Becky Morris and Shirley Spinks.  Barbara was well loved. She was a lifetime member of the North Narrows Tabernacle Church where she loved to worship the Lord with all of her brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dewey Lee Blankenship of Narrows, two daughters, Pamela Hilton (Billy) of Pembroke, Misty Blankenship of Narrows, two sons, Mike Blankenship of Narrows and Randy Blankenship (Lois) of Narrows, one brother, Danny Bo Lucas of Louisa, Co.  She was also a beloved grandmother of eight and a great grandmother of sixteen.  Also, she had two amazing caregivers who she loved very much, Malinda Hodge of Pembroke and Ashley Armstrong of Pearisburg.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 11am at the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with Pastor Paul Terry and Pastor Lee Martin officiating.  The family will receive friends at the gravesite from 10 – 11am.  The North Narrows Tabernacle Church will be serving a meal to the family and friends after the service.
