Albert "Buddy" Ray Conwell, Jr.

Albert Ray Conwell Jr (Buddy), born July 4th, 1954, in Bluefield WV, departed this life on November 25th, 2022. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Painters, and spent the last several years as a farmer on his beloved Wolf Creek land. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Ray Conwell Sr., his mother, Sylvia Conwell Ramsey and his dear friend Junior Ferrell. Left to remember and cherish his memory are his sister and caregiver Penny Bowles (Tim) of Narrows, brother James Michael Conwell of Narrows, brother, Allen Ramsey (Melinda) of Little River, South Carolina, uncle and aunt, Charlie & Kris Mullins, Nephew Matthew Bowles (Rebekah) of Narrows, nephew, Mark Bowles of Narrows, two great-nephews, Tristan & Noah Bowles, three great-nieces Addison Vest, Taryn Bowles and Ensley Bowles, and beloved cousin Sue Havens (David) of Narrows.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kings Way Church and its members, as well as everyone that stopped by to visit Bud while he was home in hospice care. The family would also like to thank Carillion Hospice Team for their care and support during this difficult time. A remembrance service will be held at King’s Way Church on Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at 12pm with Pastor Tony Robertson performing the service.  The family is being served by Givens – Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
