Sandra Spicer Melanson

Sandra (Sandy) Jane Spicer Malenson,72 of Narrows passed away December 11th, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.   Sandy was born on May 16, 1946 in Giles County, VA and was a daughter of the late Claude Cover Spicer and Hester Claire Payne Spicer.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by son Randy Blankenship, sisters Valarie Spicer, Bonnie Stables, Patricia Sexton, and Debra Spicer.  Sandy loved watching her TV, loved friends visiting, and above all loved her family.  Left to cherish her memory are son's Tony and Brian Blankenship both of Narrows, grandsons Aaron and Zachary Blankenship, Devin and Dustin Blankenship, great grandson Hudson. A very loving sister Rose Lauver and a special brother in law Ray Sexton. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2Pm at the Riffe – Givens Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Bill Brown officiating with burial following in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the service from 12 – 2 PM.  The family is being served by Riffe - Givens Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
