Mildred May (Buchanan) Patteson

Mildred Buchanan Patteson, 94 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Cedar Bluff, VA.  Mrs. Patteson was born on September 27, 1924 in Princeton, WV and was a daughter of the late Roy, Sr. and Maude Buchanan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crozier (Coty)  Eaton Patteson, brother, Roy Buchanan, Jr. and sister, Marie B. White.  Mrs. Patteson married the late Coty Patteson in 1947, and they lived together on Wolf Creek for over fifty years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who never tired of spending time with her family and friends.  Mildred was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.  She lived a rich and full life according to those who knew her best.  She is survived by four children, Pamela Patteson of Chesterfield, Barbara Patteson and husband, Terry Gould of Richmond, Rusty Patteson and wife Terri of Narrows, Carol Patteson of Tazewell, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11am at the Patteson Family Cemetery on Old Wolf Creek Road outside of Narrows.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Giles County Bible Bus, P.O.
