Mary Katherine (Premo) Gillespie

Mary Katherine Premo Gillespie, 47 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2019 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.  Mary was born on December 5, 1971 in Welch, WV and was a daughter of  Dewey Wilson Premo, Jr. and Lina Mae Ausborne Premo of Kimball, WV.  She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.  Mary was a 1990 graduate of Mount View High  School in Welch, attended Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio and was the owner and operator of Dahlia’s Delights Bakery in Pearisburg where she was known as the “Cake Lady”.  Mary was a member of the Nazarene Church in Welch, attended the Wayside Mission Baptist Church in Narrows.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to all.  Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, David Allen Gillespie of Narrows, her birth mother, Nancy Addair Chambers of Tank Hill, Northfork, WV, two step sons, Cheyenne David Gillespie, Matthew Daniel Gillespie both of Narrows, her furbaby, Sissy, four sisters, Doreen Premo Riffe of Welch, WV, Carmella Premo Williams (Darrell) of Davy, WV, Bettina Premo of Kimball, WV, Angela Premo Maynard (Larry) of Davy, WV, many special nieces and nephews and a special great nephew Mikey.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Riffe-Givens Funeral Chapel in Narrows at 11:00am with the Rev. Ryan Meadows officiating with burial following in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell, WV.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the Riffe-Givens Funeral Home.
