Jacqueline (Martin) Trent

Jacqueline Martin Trent, 85 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on November 29th, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Roy Earnest and Ruth Iretta Robertson Martin.  In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Randall Trent; and a sister, Elizabeth Martin Smith.

Jackie was a faithful member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Narrows.  She was a retired employee of Celanese in Narrows.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Robert Frank Trent, Sr.; three children, Marlene Martin and husband Eddie, Larry Dean Trent and Savannah of Narrows, and Robert (Buddy) Trent, Jr. and wife Christina of Narrows; Jackie’s daughter-in-law, Lisa Trent; seven grandchildren, Candace Martin, Jessica Stafford, Dustin Trent, Lindsey Trent, Grace Trent, Xyander Trent, and Skyler Trent; four great-grandchildren, Bentley Gross, Braden and Raylen Trent, and Weston Stafford; a sister, Linda Wilson of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9th, 2018 at 2 PM at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Narrows with Rev. Jim McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.  The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); P.O.
