George Edward Pearson, II

George Edward (Eddie) Pearson, II, 49 of Charlotte, formerly of Pearisburg, passed away Saturday, June 30th, 2018.He was born in Pearisburg on December 7th, 1968, and was the son of Evelyn Ford Pearson and the late George Edward Pearson, Sr.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Victoria Ford, and Harry and Juanita Pearson.

Eddie was a 1987 graduate of Giles High School, and attended Concord University and New River Community College.  He was employed by Federal Express in Charlotte as a cargo handler.  Eddie enjoyed traveling, watching college football, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Claudette Pearson; two sons, Christopher Pearson and Chadwick Pearson; five stepchildren, Kenyoto Ramsey and husband Tony, Adrian Claiborne, Michael Bolden, Shawn Johnson, and Dawn Johnson; a very special daughter, Gatane Gallagher Muslimani ; four grandchildren; a sister, Sophia Timberlake and husband Roger; a niece, Morgan Timberlake; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends, including a very close friend, Daphne Hopkins.

Two memorial services are scheduled.  The first will be held Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at 2 PM at Saunders Grove Baptist Church near Kellysville with the family receiving friends at 1:30 PM.  The second will be held Saturday, July 21st at 1 PM at Greater Providence Baptist Church; 2000 Milton Road;Charlotte, NC 28212 with the family receiving friends at 12:30 PM.  The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider Saunders Grove Baptist Church; 180 Saunders Grove Road; Princeton, West Virginia 24739.
