Donna Collins Wilson

Donna Collins Wilson, 59 of Pembroke, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23rd, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on August 10th, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Frank Fonzie and Virginia Katherine Myers Collins.

Donna was a faithful member of the Pembroke Assembly of God, and worked for over 30 years as a CNA with Heritage Hall in Blacksburg. She enjoyed trips to the beach, shopping, yard sales, and was an avid Giles Spartan football fan. A loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend, she always thought of others before herself. Donna enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Marvin Wilson of Pembroke; three children, Jeff Wilson and wife Holly, Derek Wilson and wife Nichole, and Danielle Wilson Ellis and husband Garrison, all of Pembroke; ten grandchildren, Savanah Wilson, Victoria Wilson, Joey Nista, Nick Nista, Devin Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Luke Wilson, Katie Wilson, Jaelyn Ellis, Jolten Ellis; three brothers, Charles Collins and wife Darlene of Mullins, West Virginia, Larry Collins and wife Alesia of Narrows, Michael Collins and fiancAC.e Wendy Reed of Pembroke; four sisters, Linda Southern and husband Wayne of Spout Springs, Virginia, Charlotte Hodges and the late Don Hodges of Glen Allen, Virginia, Kathy Pyles and husband Raymond of Bane, Virginia, and Robin Campbell and husband Doug of Montvale, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26th, 2018 at 1 PM at the Pembroke Assembly of God with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Pembroke Assembly of God Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
