Charles Herbert (Chuck) Lucas

Charles (Chuck) Herbert Lucas, 62 of Peterstown, WV passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his home after a long battle of cancer.  Chuck was born on March 27, 1956 in Pearisburg, VA and was a son of late Raymond Herbert Lucas and Muriel Maxine French Lucas.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Lucas Mullins.  Chuck was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows with over 42 years of dedicated service.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, horses and the love of his family and his friends.  He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Donzella (Jean) Fortner Lucas of Peterstown, three daughters, Amber Dunn of Peterstown, Janet Blankenship and husband Bruce of Lindside, WV, Angela Trenar and husband Jerry of Pearisburg, twin sons, Charles Gusler and wife Lorrie of Peterstown, WV, Christopher Gusler and wife Kim of Ballard, WV, eight grandchildren and one brother, Steven Lucas of Narrows.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Riffe – Givens Funeral Chapel at 1:00 with the Rev. Pete Dunford with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 – 8pm.
