Betty Ann Lowery

Betty Ann Lowery, 88 of Salem, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Richfield Care Center in Salem.  Mrs. Lowery was born on October 11, 1930 in Monroe County, WV and was a daughter of the late James Franklin Lowery and Bernice Sue Canterbury.  Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Neice, one sister, Bertie Blankenship and brother-in-law, Jack Blankenship.  Betty loved the company of her family, friends and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She is survived by three sons, Gary and Brenda Lowery of Pembroke, William and Sharon Lowery of Narrows, Charles and Debbie Lowery of Salem, one daughter, Rosetta and Donnie Neice of Ripplemead, eleven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and four nieces, Patty Neice, Debbie Akers, Jennetta Collins and Jackie Dalton.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Pastor Merlle  Hedrick officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 – 2:00 pm before the service.  The family is being served by Givens – Riffe  Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
