Ashley Dawn Wheeler

Ashley Dawn Wheeler, 33, of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2019 at her home.  Ashley was born on June 14, 1985 in Princeton, WV and was a daughter of Clifford Tyler Wheeler and Sarah Bowden Wheeler.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Macil Bowden and her paternal grandfather, Clifford H. Wheeler.  Ashley was a 2003 graduate of Narrows High School.  Ashley was a free spirit with a heart of gold who loved life, her family and friends.  She loved and rescued animals and volunteered at the Giles County Animal Shelter.  She had a beautiful and radiating smile and never met a stranger.  Besides her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Shirley L. Wheeler, her sister, Amanda Wheeler Dunbar and husband Torrey, her niece, Payton Dunbar and two nephews, Brody and Spencer Dunbar all of Narrows, her furry babies, Star and Hershey, a special cousin, Theresa Walter and husband Fred of Narrows and many other family and friends.  A celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3pm at the Riffe – Givens Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Chapel two hours before the service from 1 – 3pm.  As per Ashley’s request, there will be a private burial on the family farm at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Giles County Animal Shelter.  The family is being served by Riffe - Givens Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
