Rhonda Gail (Sexton) Thornton

Rhonda Gail Sexton Thornton, 61, of Blacksburg, VA, formerly of Narrows, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 21, 1962 in Giles County, VA.  Rhonda was known for her kind heart and funny nature.  She loved having conversations with everyone she met.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Randolph Sexton and Patricia Ann Spicer Sexton and sister, Debra Darlene Spicer.

Rhonda will be deeply missed and is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Noonkester, Debbie Thornton (Fiancé Joshua Keene), her granddaughter, October “Tobi” Keene all of Blacksburg, and her sister, Sharon Sexton of Narrows.

In her free time, Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her family, cuddling her fur grandchildren, Sandor, Binx and Cleo, watching home renovation and drama shows and cooking.  Rhonda’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.  May she rest in peace.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 15, 2024, at 1pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Pete Dunford and Tommy Gordon officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
